Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Party Chief to join our team.

As a Party Chief, you will be responsible for leading a survey crew and overseeing all aspects of land surveying projects.

Types of surveys include existing conditions, boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, bathymetric and controlThis is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

Duties:

• Conduct field surveys using various surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and levels
• Field tasks will include operating surveying instruments, collecting utility data, performing mathematical calculations, reading, and understanding plans, and other duties as assigned
• Operate and maintain all field equipment including total station, GPS rover, data collectors, etc.
• Take legible, detailed field notes and photographs
• Set up control points and benchmarks for accurate measurements
• Collect and analyze survey data using software such as CAD, ArcGIS, and MicroStation
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings
• Assist in the development of project plans and schedules
• Supervise and train survey crew members
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to support project objectives to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Must be willing and able to travel to project sites, client's offices, and other LKMA offices

Skills:


-Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience +1 year minimum as Party Chief required

-Must have valid driver's license

• Proficiency in taking accurate measurements and making calculations
• Working knowledge of surveying software such as AutoCAD, GPS,
• Familiarity with NYS Standards, survey codes, Bentley MicroStation
• Revit and Civil 3D a plus
• Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, and other technical documents
• Excellent data analysis skills to identify trends and patterns
• Detailoriented with the ability to draft accurate survey drawings
• Strong problemsolving skills to address any issues or challenges that may arise during surveys
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Boat operator license a plus

Pay:
$100, $125,000.00 per year
