Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm (52-week positions)

We are seeking Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students. As a Teacher Assistant, you'll collaborate with dedicated professionals in a supportive, educational, and clinically focused environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure student safety.
  • Assist in establishing a classroom environment conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors.
  • Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
  • Perform ongoing data collection and recordkeeping as directed by Special Education Teachers

Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS):


  • Serves children, adolescents, and young adults with various challenges including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric disorders.
  • Offers services such as psychiatric residential treatment, residential treatment, acute inpatient psychiatric hospital care, assessment services, communitybased mental health services, employment and social skills training, and educational services
  • Aims to provide specialized care, tailored to individual needs, with the goal of fostering academic, social, emotional, and life skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
