As a Diagnostic Imaging Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient scheduling of appointments for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments for diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI, CT, Xray, mammogram, and ultrasound.
Coordinate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate scheduling and efficient utilization of imaging resources.
Verify insurance information and obtain preauthorization as necessary.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate and uptodate scheduling records, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established protocols.
Collaborate with the imaging department staff to optimize patient flow and ensure timely completion of appointments.
Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in scheduling or administrative roles, is desirable.
Familiarity with diagnostic imaging procedures and terminology is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and staff members.
Proficiency in computer systems and medical scheduling software.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
