LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a national law firm focused on representing financial services industry clients in real estate and mortgage default litigation matters to recruit an experienced associate attorney. The firm has offices in Birmingham and Huntsville, but is open to an attorney working remotely anywhere in the state.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in any area of litigation and will be able to independently manage a high volume caseload in the collections and general financial services litigation space.

Despite the "high volume" nature of the practice, work-life balance is part of the firm's culture. The successful candidate will have flexibility in setting their schedule so long as their matters are handled in a timely and professional manner. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle collection and breach of contract litigation matters from inception through judgment.

• Attend court hearings (both telephonic and in person).

• Prepare and argue dispositive motions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

• Admission to the state bar of Alabama; additional admission in Georgia and/or Florida preferred but not required.

• Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the UCC are a plus but not required
