Purchasing Assistant

Location:

Salary: 40-45k

Metz Culinary Management is growing and seeking a Purchasing Assistance.

Job description:

Operate and maintain prime distributor webbased ecommerce ordering platform for company
Sends monthly reporting to field on updated products and contracts
Interact daily with suppliers, company managers and leadership team
Approve and process account ordering of nonapproved products and special orders
Run purchasing and business analytics reports
Conduct price / cost comparisons to enhance purchasing compliance for company
Identify savings opportunities on noncontracted products
Maintenance of company / supplier directory
Ordering products and equipment
Train new managers / chefs on company ordering platform procedures and processes
Performs related job duties as required
Conducts weekly pricing audits on vendors and compares to contracted pricing

Job requirements/ skills:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Associate degree or higher preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Gmail
