    How you will create an impact

    In this highly visible, mission critical role, you will report directly to the Global Head of Specialty Claims and have supervisory oversight and coordination of the Specialty Claims portfolio supporting the Global Head of Specialty Claims and team including large loss, attritional claims and enhanced claim efficiency management ensuring global consistency & transparency, timely & accurate reporting, organizational engagement and customer / broker relationships. This is a unique opportunity to employ your knowledge and experience doing high value, impactful work for an industry leader while working alongside some of the industry's top talent.

    • Utilize your strong technical knowledge of claims to support appropriate application and interpretation of claim investigation results to policy terms and conditions across six Specialty lines of business (LOBs) in accordance with AIG Specialty Claim Handling guidelines and Best Practices.
    • Coordinate and support Global Specialty claim / loss reporting and engagement to all relevant stakeholders ensuring accuracy and consistency including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, operational and data analytics reviews (Pulse), roundtable, underwriting, finance, reinsurance and legal requirements.
    • Act as the Specialty Claims coordinator with Project Management, IT and Process Design / Redesign in claim handling and process transformation ensuring LOB representation / integration while maintaining market recognized technical claim management leadership.
    • Support Specialty Claims data and analytics development, interpretation and refinement to deliver valuable insights and lessons learned to claims, business and risk control functions.
    • Support the development, maintenance and updating of Specialty Claims marketing material in conjunction with senior claims management & business leadership. Assist team members in maintaining external broker & customers relationships / service.
    • Assist in the creation and development of Specialty Claims technical training, career path and succession pipeline to maintain and bolster Specialty Claim team bench strength.

    What you'll need to succeed

    • To be an energetic, motivated and organized self-starter
    • Strong verbal & written communication skills
    • Established track record of meeting with and presenting to internal & external stakeholders, customers and brokers at all levels
    • Ability to work and contribute in a collaborative way across a multi-cultural & diverse global team environment
    • Successful implementation of strategic initiatives across varied business processes & geographies
    • Claims experience, particularly within Specialty Lines, strongly preferred

    For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $90,000-$120,000. For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $90,000-$127,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
