The Division of General Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a full-time board-certified Internist to provide primary general internal medicine care in the context of a multidisciplinary program in the Division of General Internal Medicine.
This position will be the inaugural physician provider and leader of a team-based community care model and have significant opportunity to help shape the development and trajectory of this primary care model at VCU.
She/he must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time as a major provider in the outpatient clinic area.VCU Medical Center is one of the nations leading academic medical centers.
It includes the 780 bed MCV Hospitals and outpatient clinics, MCV Physicians - a 900 physician-faculty group practice and the health sciences schools of VCU.
