Duties:


  • Plan and conducts relevant research and analytical studies of Army stationing.
  • Play an integral role in various Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) related analyses and functions.
  • Ensure stationing and BRAC related information is analyzed and packaged in formats useful for facilitating Army senior leadership decisions
  • Provide technical advice to the Army leadership and Commands (ACOMs).
  • Receive and process stationing actions submitted by the Army Staff and Army leadership and Commands (ACOMs) for approval.

Conditions of Employment:


  • This is a testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
  • This position may require TDY up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • Basic Requirement for Operations Research Analyst:
  • In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing data analytical and visualization tools such as R, Python, and Tableau to develop reports; conducting analytical studies of facilities and training requirements to support business processes; and advising senior leaders on base realignment and closure information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
