- Exclusively inpatient care.
- Inpatient care is at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO, and may eventually grow into care at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO,
- Includes management of Cardiac Critical Care patients in collaboration with Cardiology physicians and Cardiac surgeons.
- Coordinates with other health care professionals
- This role comprises day and night shifts, to include 3 12hour shifts weekly, plus one 8hour shift every other week.
- Northern Colorado is a growing area and UCHealth is growing to meet the demands of our community. Thus, this critical care APP role and responsibilities is subject to grow and change in the future.

- Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.

- Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
- Provisional prescriptive authority working towards full prescriptive authority or Full prescriptive authority
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
- Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
