Our well-established and highly regarded cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program is adding a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who possesses empathy, talent, drive, and a patients first mentality.
Variety - This position will have time in the Operating Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Clinic.
Our Schedule - Supports a work-life balance and flexibility with 1:4 call and 1:4 weekends.
Our Team - Is collaborative, collegial, and passionate about providing evidence-based care.
Our Support - with an APP committee, APP director, and APP continuum plan you will always have support as you grow in your career.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring personality, excellent communication skills, and a passion for team-based patient care.
PREFERRED: Three years of Cardiac Surgery experience in the Operating Room and ICU patient management. Radial artery and endovascular vein harvesting experience are strongly preferred.
REQUIRED: Family Nurse Practitioner candidates must have full prescriptive authority to be considered for this position.
The pay range for this position is $ $87.95 / hour. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland is a Level II trauma center with 189 total beds.
The esteemed Heart Center of the Rockies with extensive electrophysiology, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery services are based here as are the LifeLine rotor and critical care transport teams.

Requirements for Physician Assistants
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment
Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administrations (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
