Job Summary


The Regional Vice President of Engagement is a highly motivated engagement professional focused on overseeing the implementation and or/sustainability of the communities' comprehensive engagement programs based on Abor's Engaged Lifestyle Structure.

The RVP of Engagement will develop and cultivate strong relationships with the teams they support and the discipline partners they align with to achieve Arbor company goals and objectives.

This person will work collaboratively with the Vice President of Engagement to develop corporate initiatives related to strategic planning for Arbor Company and its communities.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Engagement Department Oversight_
  • Provide routine onsite visits and calls to communities within portfolio and others as requested to include Engagement department support. Regularly assess community priorities within portfolio through collaboration with VP of Engagement and Operations Partner.
  • Provides coaching and support to community department head for successful implementation of Arbor's Engaged Lifestyle Programming.
  • Review compliance with Arbor company standards, Engagement Excellence policies, resident/customer satisfaction, and successful programming offered that is resident centered.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills with community and regional discipline team on recommendations or follow up needed within 48 hours.
  • Work with community to develop plan to cover responsibilities in the Engagement department if there is an opening.
  • Provide consultation to Engagement Directors, Executive Directors, and support partners as needed.
  • Analyze labor and nonlabor expenses to budget and make recommendations as needed.
  • Assist with any new community openings or transitions following the new community/transition plan.
  • Staff Development and Training _
  • Assist the VP of Engagement with the recruitment and orientation of new Engagement Directors.
  • Assists with trainings related to Bootcamp, Foundations, Discipline Conferences, Cognitive Care, Dementia Live, and any other identified training needed.
  • Support and assist with implementation of new programs within communities supported (e.g., Intouch Link, ONshift, staff orientation, Arbor Service Way initiatives, or new Engagement policies)
  • Participate in development and delivery of content for monthly Engagement Director Calls
  • Collaborate with all Arbor partners and disciplines to achieve success._
  • Provides assistance with development or revision of Engagement policies and procedures.
  • Works collaboratively with Memory Care VP and Director of Dementia Training to facilitate memory care or cognitive care training initiatives.
  • Attends Arbor meetings and trainings throughout the year to participate in partner work, collaborative discipline work, or special projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3 years' experience working in Engagement role within community setting.
  • At least two years' experience in multisite senior living support role with proven success desired.
  • Interest in engaging seniors across the spectrum of senior living to include independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
  • Coaching skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Experience with training and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to any Arbor community and work extended hours if necessary. Must have ability to manage own travel arrangements.
  • A desire to expand knowledge and skill set through education and training.
