    Job Description
    AECOM - Hunt is hiring a Project Accountant to work on a large joint-venture aviation project in Chicago, Illinois. This is an on-site position and will be a great opportunity to become part of the growing Hunt Construction Group

    Job Summary:
    Provides project-specific accounting support in accordance with client agreements and internal policies and procedures. Partners with job site personnel on contract matters, subcontractor invoicing, and owner billings.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    Process subcontractor invoices and monitors compliance with contract requirements including but not limited to insurance, bond, and waiver documentation.
    Oversee client billing review meetings and submission of owner bills.

    Completes monthly internal accounting reconciliation assignments and is a liaison to the AECOM Hunt Finance team for project specific matters.

    Partners with the project team to manage contract budgets and cost forecasts while identifying risks and opportunities affecting the profitability of the project.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:
    BA/BS + 6 years of relevant project accounting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education


    Preferred Qualification:
    Construction project accounting experience.
    Advanced Excel experience.

    This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
    Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
    Parking is included in this role.

    In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting.

    Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
