Medical or Nurse Paralegal - New York, United States - Pitta & Baione LLP

Description

Tasks for this position include:

• Gathering and analyzing relevant medical information and records pertaining to personal injury and wrongful death claims
• Investigating the nature and facts of each client's injuries and sequelae
• Working directly with the clients, medical facilities, and entities in writing and on telephone
• Preparing medical summary and explanation documents necessary for the World Trade Center Health Program and the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund
• Assisting with staff training on relevant medical terminology and document review

Requirements:

• Must demonstrate empathy.
• Must be a resourceful self starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable working with a case management system and documenting all activity.
• Must have excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
• Must have experience in medical field or with heavy medical record review
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), written and verbal, is beneficial but not required for this position.

This role is primarily remote with in-person work as needed.

Pay:
$50, $70,000.00 per year
