- Bachelor's Degree (preferably related to quality, engineering, or operations)
- 0-2 years of manufacturing quality experience
- Experience with basic quality and improvement tools
- 1 or more years of manufacturing quality experience
- Knowledge and experience utilizing LEAN tools and Six Sigma problem solving methods.
- Manufacturing experience that involves use of, or production of, polymers materials. Particular knowledge of polyolefins and extrusion technology are a plus.
- Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or willingness to pursue.

Description

We help our customers in residential and commercial construction, municipalities, and utilities, as well as different industries to work faster and smarter.As a Quality Engineer, you will perform Six Sigma and Quality activities to support continuous improvement projects and initiatives as well as quality investigations. They will also be required to lead in 2 to 4 improvement projects per year. They will work closely with the Senior Quality Manager to identify and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to successful completion.
This role is considered an on-site position. The ideal candidate will be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with periodic onsite work at our North American manufacturing headquarters in Apple Valley, MN.
What will you do?
-Carry out Lean Six Sigma process improvement activities (FMEAs, Process Flow Charts, SIPOC, Measurement Systems analysis, Fishbone Diagrams etc...) related to continuous improvement initiatives and in support of the Quality Control department.
-Collect, monitor and analyze key product quality and process metrics and as appropriate, communicate improvement opportunities or investigations needed.
-Lead cross-functional teams to drive breakthrough performance improvement on projects that require a broad knowledge of various business functions. Promote and lead in the use of metrics and data to drive project focus.
-Perform inspections and testing to support quality control and improvement projects.
-Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
-Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
