Key member of the Office of Inspector General's (OIG) Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) team, responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating the implementation of technology solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, documenting requirements, and supporting the development and deployment of solutions that align with OIG's objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for technology solutions. Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather comprehensive requirements and ensure a thorough understanding of business needs.

Model current and future-state business processes using industry-standard techniques such as BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation). Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains through technology solutions.

Work closely with Solution Architects and Development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs. Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions that meet business needs and align with OIG's strategic objectives.


Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories using appropriate tools and templates and ensure clear and concise communication of requirements to development teams and stakeholders.

Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on documented requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation activities to ensure that solutions meet business needs and quality standards.

Support change management activities by assisting in the development of training materials, user guides, and documentation. Provide training and support to end-users during solution deployment and post-implementation.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement based on feedback from stakeholders and lessons learned from project implementations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices and methodologies within the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technologydriven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Knowledge of requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
