Description

Job Summary
Drive a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and deliver food products. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery.


Essential Job Duties

  • Drive trucks or other vehicle over established routes to deliver food products.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of transported food products.
  • Must adhere to and follow all driving laws.
  • Complete vehicle inspection report and verify all necessary safety equipment is operational.
  • Verify and confirm all invoices are processed according to company procedures.

In addition to the essential job duties listed above, employees in this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

These additional responsibilities will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the department and organization.

Such duties may be assigned based on business needs, changes in production requirements, or other factors that impact daily operations.

Attend staff and departmental meetings as needed. Report any unsafe practices or conditions to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean driving record; drive safely while travelling to multiple customer locations, and report any damage to equipment/products, or driving accidents to supervisor.

Experience & Education:


  • High School
Diploma

or equivalent combination of education and

experience preferred.

  • Previous driving experience and clean driving record required.
  • Bilingual and fluent in English/Spanish (written and oral), a plus.

Travel:


  • Must be okay to travel up to 75%.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License, proof of current vehicle insurance and a driving record that meets K&M Foodservice insurer's criteria.
