    Job Description


    AECOM
    is seeking a Project Traffic Engineer (Hybrid) to be based in Austin or Houston, TX

    Job responsibilities may focus on:


    Perform hands-on signal timing optimization within traffic controllers while leveraging ATMS, probe data and ATSPM.Performs traffic engineering studies including data collection, microsimulation model development and calibration (SimTraffic and VISSIM) or other deterministic models such as Synchro, HCS, Vistro, traffic forecasting, and analysis of alternatives.

    Perform design and calculations both independently and with a team for signal, and signing/marking projects.
    Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
    Qualifications


    Minimum RequirementsBA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationHave performed hands-on signal timing optimization within traffic controllersPreferred QualificationsBachelor's college degree in Civil Engineering, or other related field with an emphasis in traffic or transportation or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
    Hands-on signal timing optimization within traffic controllers.
    Experience with Synchro.
    Experience with ITS system and design principles, standards.
    Technical writing.

    Experience with VISSIM, HCS, MicroStation, ArcGIS.Experience in utilizing Business Intelligence Software (PowerBI, Tableau, other) or coding (R, Python, Javascript, SQL, other) for visualization and process automation.

    Additional Information

    Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

    The salary range for this position is $110, ,000.
