- Oversees the daily work activities of the office, including staff members
- May handle or assist with discipline and termination of employees following company policies.
- Manage staff members, handle shift scheduling, time-off, and disciplinary actions
- Provide clerical support as needed, including answering phones and preparing documents
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA
- Handle petty cash fund and inventory of office supplies
- Maintain office files and facilitate equipment maintenance
- Assist with billing corrections and oversee patient files accuracy
- Submit tickets for EMR errors and perform other related duties as assigned
- Knowledge of medical office best practices and regulations
- Extensive office management procedures knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with medical EMR systems is a plus
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years of admin and clerical experience in the medical field
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience is a plus
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when needed
