Looking For A Change


Are you someone who wants to move beyond the traditional copywriting role, has experience in fast-paced environments, and wants to make a difference in the Iranian American community? We are working on various public health initiatives to support the multi-generational community across California (specifically southern California / Orange County) and need a bilingual outreach specialist who can work in both English and Farsi to collect community input on public health programs.

We are looking for someone who likes to engage with community members and is a great listener.

At the same time, they can work with deadlines and want to help create communication campaigns that better our communities.


Who's SGA Marketing?
SGA Marketing is a nimble, mission-driven communications firm that focuses on public health, environmental and community-based issues. We help our clients (mostly local governments) turn policy into change at the community and individual levels.

We are a marketing firm, but we don't help our clients sell things. However, we believe those same tools can be used to improve the public good.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough research on target audience and market trends by conducting inperson intercept surveys.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing campaigns
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Is flexible, open with engaging people in the "public square," and is persistent at getting the job done.

Experience:


  • Proven experience working in both English and Farsi.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing samples across different mediums
  • Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading in both English and Farsi (and ability to trans/create or adapt between the two languages)
  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and platforms
  • Knowledge of content creation best practices and trends

Job Type:
Project-Base; Contract


Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
