Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II), the Information Technology Specialist I (IT Spec I), provides comprehensive support services to internal and external California Department of Technology (CDT) customers in areas including but not limited to Process analysis and improvement, metrics & dashboard reporting, Testing, coordination with service areas, and continuous improvement of service management delivery and ITSM processes.

Working Conditions

  • Work overtime as necessary and when business needs warrant.
  • Must maintain consistent, predictable attendance, and will be sitting at a computer for long lengths of time.

Desirable Qualifications
ITSM/ITIL certification

  • Experience in Reporting, Visualization, Data analytics, Big Data and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in ServiceNow performance analytics and/or business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, Power Views, Power Query, Advanced Excel, VBA, and reporting tools
  • Experience GenAI preferred.
  • Ability to understand the vision to work as a team member on strategic initiatives, and implement/deploy the necessary actions to meet business objectives
  • Must have strong, effective oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate and work productively with supervisors, managers, staff, customers, and vendors in a professional manner. Strong analytical skills are needed.
