We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.

Our more than 40 physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff.

We do our best to take care of everything for our patients - records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.


We are seeking an
_experienced_
Medical Scribe to join our team working with one Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner at our Towson location. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the efficiency and the productivity of the physician. The Medical Scribe allows the physician to focus on the patient.





SCHEDULE:

Full Time (Some travel is required)


M, T, H, F 9:
00 am - 5:
00 pm


Weds 10:
00 am - 5:
00 pm


1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month:


1:
00 pm - 4:
00 pm Towson / 5:
00 pm - 9:
00 pm Woodholme / Pikesville


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures in the Electronic Health Record as they are being performed by the physician.
  • Prepare documentation of physiciandictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for patient or family members for selfcare and followup.
  • Ensure that all clinical data, lab or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record.
  • Proofread and edit all the physician's medical documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Requirements:


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:


  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Degree in Sciences and Premed track preferred.

Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or medical transcription.(required):


  • Excellent understanding of
    medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports.
  • Translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms. Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
