Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Position Overview
Me & You Kitchen and Cocktails, part of Wright Hospitality Group, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager / Lead Chef to oversee back-of-house operations and lead our culinary team. This role is responsible for menu execution, food quality and presentation, kitchen staffing and scheduling, and day-to-day coordination with front-of-house leadership to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily kitchen operations during scheduled hours (Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.).
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of at least 10 staff members, including servers, bartenders, and support staff, in coordination with front-of-house management.
- Create and maintain prep lists, station setups, and closing procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate specials, menu changes, and service standards.
- Culinary Execution & Quality Control
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards, recipes, and portion guidelines.
- Maintain high standards for flavor, appearance, and timeliness of orders.
- Collaborate on menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal offerings that align with the Me & You Kitchen and Cocktails brand.
- Food Safety & Compliance
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure all kitchen staff follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
- Conduct regular line checks, temperature logs, and cleaning checklists to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
- Staff Management & Training
- Schedule back-of-house team members to meet operational needs while managing labor costs.
- Train new and existing staff on recipes, kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies to minimize waste and control food cost.
- Monitor portion control and waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Work with management to analyze sales and adjust ordering and prep accordingly.
- Collaboration & Guest Experience
- Partner closely with front-of-house leaders to coordinate service, handle special requests, and resolve issues.
- Support a guest-focused culture by ensuring the kitchen consistently delivers high-quality, timely offerings.
Qualifications
- Valid ServSafe (or equivalent) Food Safety Manager Certification required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Lead Chef, or similar leadership role in a full-service restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing and coordinating a team of at least 10 staff (servers, bartenders, and/or support staff).
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
- Proven ability to work the required schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Other managerial duties as assigned; must be flexible to support management and private events.

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour
