Description
We are looking for a qualified psychopedagogue to evaluate our 6-year-old daughter who is currently in 1st grade. This summer, her parents and I separated and she and I moved to Madrid to live with my mother. Her previous school was in Castilla y León and they have a different educational system than Madrid. In Castilla y León, they do not start reading and writing until primary school, while in Madrid, children finish kindergarten already knowing how to read and write. This has caused our daughter to fall behind her classmates. We have also noticed that she is not making progress in reading and often writes numbers and letters backwards. Both her father and I were dyslexic as children. Her teacher has requested a psychopedagogical evaluation, but we are unsure how long it will take for the assigned professional to come from the community.
