The research will primarily focus on the model organism Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 and the coordination of division processes across multiple membrane systems.

The successful candidate will explore the interactome and functional interplay of known, new, and yet to be identified molecular components, as well as visualize the time course of cell division in vivo and ex vivo/in situ using immunofluorescence and immunogold staining.

Time-resolved documentation and the development of non-disruptive in-vivo labeling methods are essential components of this research project.
