- Ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and safe for customers
- Utilizing Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and executing repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks such as tire replacement or rotation, as well as component lubrication, replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on both gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Collaborating with your manager to acquire new skills through Penske's technician training and practical guidance
- Handling additional projects and assignments as delegated by your supervisor

- This position, based at this location, provides shift differentials based on second shift (beginning after 11 am) or third shift (starting after 9 pm) and weekend shifts.
- Individuals holding a valid and current CDL at this location will qualify for an additional $2.00/hr.

- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is advantageous
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of experience in automotive or diesel repair (preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Problem-solving skills and familiarity with tools
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Capability to work effectively within a team and outdoor environments
- Basic computer proficiency
- Adherence to specific instructions, guidelines, regulations, and policies set by Penske management
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including the proper selection and usage of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
- Punctuality and regular attendance are essential
- Willingness to work required schedules, at specified locations, complete Penske's job application, undergo background screenings, pass drug tests and physical examinations mandated by the Department of Transportation, and be open to potential training-related travel within the vicinity
- Regular movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and extended periods of sitting during the work shift
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, reaching, touching, handling, and operating tools and controls
- Capability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Aptitude to work in diverse weather conditions
- Keen vision and hearing to navigate the workplace safely, considering the movement of large trucks
- Ability to lift and move weights up to 50lbs/23kg regularly and up to 100lbs/45kg occasionally
