    $250.00 Sign on Bonus

    Position Title: Sheet Metal Assembler and MIG Welder

    Location: Kalamazoo, MI

    Pay Range: $ /hr depending on shift.

    Shift: 1st (6am-4:30pm M-F) and 2nd (3pm-1:30am M-F or 3pm – 4am M-TH)

    Position Summary

    Assemble make-up air equipment; check and confirm work in accordance with job specifications, procedures, quality standards, and checklists

    • Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings (training provided)
    • Safely operate forklift and/or other lift equipment
    • Mount fans, motors, burners, and gas manifolds
    • Measure, cut, and install insulation
    • Accurately complete checklists
    • Suggest design and procedure improvements to improve quality and productivity and reduce cost
    • Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship

    Qualifications and Skills

    • MIG welding experience
    • Ability to read, write, and do simple math, read a tape measure
    • Good mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
    • Ability to operate a MIG welder and pass a pre-employment weld test
    • Ability to operate cold saw, iron worker, shear, bend sheet metal
    • Ability to safely and properly use a wide variety of tools, including hand and power tools
    • Ability to safely and properly operate a forklift and/or other lift equipment
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to sit, bend, squat, and kneel
    • Ability to perform work from a ladder, reaching and working overhead
    • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
    • Ability to follow directions in standard practices and procedures
    • Construction, assembly, or carpentry experience preferred
