This is a part-time position which will support ticketing & customer service functions at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, as well as Grossinger Motors Arena.

This position will require flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.


This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required.

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with the Ticketmaster computerized ticketing system to sell tickets in person and via phone order.
  • Sells individual tickets for all BCPA main season events and sells tickets as ticketing services are contracted by rental parties.
  • Must follow city cash handling policies and be able to use a sales drawer with accuracy.
  • Complete general office tasks such as filing, contacting BCPA patrons with event updates, and other light clerical duties as required.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate cash handling skills
  • Computerized ticketing program experience especially Ticketmaster is desirable
  • Must be flexible, eager, organized and a team player
  • Must be detailoriented with an ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Must have web/computer skills
  • Exhibit knowledge of general office equipment, including fax machines, printers, and copiers
  • Ability to promote enthusiasm for upcoming programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and desirable
  • Theatrical/ticket office experience is desirable
Minimum Age: 18

Hours: 6-15 hours per week - varies

$14.50 per hour
