Summary:

Material Handlers are essential to the daily operation of every manufacturing business, moving inventory and production supplies safely in the warehouse.

The Material Handler I will ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials, employing the highest industry safety standards.

This role will coordinate lifting with coworkers to maximize efficiency, paying careful attention to detail, ensuring the proper completion of every order.

As a Material Handler I, you will be an integral part of company operations and strengthen our business' efficiency, timeliness, and commitment to service.

Job Duties:

• Inspect as well as correctly stage, identify and label all warehouse materials. Maintain records of material placement and storage as needed
• Keep a detailed inventory of all supplies and materials
• Regularly prepare, package and schedule Domestic orders for delivery. Maintaining good records of shipping paperwork and inventory
• Assist with loading delivery trucks as well as move materials using heavy machinery throughout the warehouse and office areas
• Handle pallets and boxes using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other moving tools throughout the facilities
• Keep loading docks, material storage, and office areas clean and organized
• Communicate with coworkers, vendors and customer shipping representatives to fulfill requests effectively and efficiently
• Complete receipts and fulfillments in our ERP system for items received to the warehouse
• Assist the Facilities group with management and maintenance of material handling equipment
• Complete inventory counts
• Assist other groups with other duties as needed
• Always using proper PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines
• Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 13 years' warehouse, production, or inventory management experience
• Knowledge of 49CFR and shipping Lithium batteries
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
• Ability to prioritize tasks and keep a detailed schedule
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
• Desire to work as part of a team
• Able to work on feet for an extended period of time
• Able to regularly lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift Certified or willingness to complete certification
