Position Description:


Objectives of this role

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
  • Help develop and support short
- and long-term operational strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Competence with financial software and technology used in the construction industry (experience with Foundation Construction Accounting Software is desirable).
  • Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations
  • Working knowledge of financial and project accounting used in the construction industry
  • Understanding of construction company financial management practices
  • Minimum 4year degree in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting management experience in the construction industry
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work well as part the senior management team
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to prioritize duties,
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties,

Work Location:
Job sites vary and between Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.


Work Environment:
Work is performed in outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public


Equipment Used:
Frequent use Excavators, skid steers, and loaders, or general construction and landscaping tools.


Essential Physical Tasks:

Frequently sit for extended periods; stand and walk or crouch on uneven surfaces and may occasionally be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

without assistance; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects, office equipment, plants, or tools ; physical ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication;

Physical Demands Requirements
This job mainly operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role, however, some travel is required. This would require the ability to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.


Pay:
$115, $150,000.00 per year
