Position Description:

Objectives of this role

Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
Help develop and support short

- and long-term operational strategies.

Responsibilities

Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards.
Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

Qualifications & Skills:

Competence with financial software and technology used in the construction industry (experience with Foundation Construction Accounting Software is desirable).
Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations
Working knowledge of financial and project accounting used in the construction industry
Understanding of construction company financial management practices
Minimum 4year degree in accounting
Minimum 5 years of accounting management experience in the construction industry
Organizational and time management skills
Leadership skills and the ability to work well as part the senior management team
Written and verbal communication skills
Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
Ability to prioritize duties,
Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties,

Work Location:
Job sites vary and between Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public

Equipment Used:
Frequent use Excavators, skid steers, and loaders, or general construction and landscaping tools.

Essential Physical Tasks:

Frequently sit for extended periods; stand and walk or crouch on uneven surfaces and may occasionally be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

Physical Demands Requirements
This job mainly operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role, however, some travel is required. This would require the ability to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.

Pay:
$115, $150,000.00 per year
