    Description:

    Our client is in search of an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for the role of Cyber Security Engineer.

    This position entails supporting the Continuous Monitoring and maintenance of Authority to Operate on Government customer accredited assets.

    The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of cyber experience spanning various aspects of cyber operations, from mission execution to vulnerability management, compliance management, database security, and enterprise information infrastructure.



    Key responsibilities include:
    Reviewing and adjudicating Tenable/Nessus findings
    Conducting vulnerability and compliance scanning and implementing mitigation measures
    Performing STIG manual hardening checks
    Working through Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)
    Providing support for Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
    Engaging in cybersecurity engineering to aid system development efforts.


    Required Skills:
    Demonstrated experience with Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment.
    Hands on experience in manual hardening and system compliance.
    An advanced degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience
    Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37, NIST Special Publication and NIST Special Publication
    Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD M IAT-II (Security+ or equivalent) Compliant Certification


    Desired Skills:
    Understanding of DoD RMF Certification and Accreditation Processes, assessing and validating compliance with IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
    Security Certification in accordance with DoD M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification
    Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision
