I am looking for a place for my mother, who had a fall 2 days ago resulting in 2 crushed lumbar vertebrae. She is cognitively well, which poses a problem because she has a very negative view of nursing homes. Functionally, she is doing quite well and lives alone at 89 years old. She has a level 2 dependency (translated to teleassistance and 4 hours of home care). After the fall, she needs assistance with dressing and going to the bathroom due to the pain, although she can still move around with a walker. Her independence is being affected by this and it is taking a toll on her morale. She is from Madrid and her preferred hospital is La Princesa. I live in the southern area, Leganés, and work in Getafe.
