    Data Analyst C Job Description Summary
    The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. Job Description Dr. John T. Farrar's Lab is hiring two (2) data analyst to participate in ongoing research on the re-analysis of randomized clinical trials of therapies used to treat acute pain and the development of prediction models to identify patients most likely to respond to such therapies. Duties include: (1) Locate, organize, catalogue, and define data in the FDA Document Archiving, Reporting and Regulatory Tracking System (DAARTS) system for all clinical trials on treatments of acute pain; (2) Processing, harmonizing, management, and analysis of data identified in step 1 by specific treatment, treatment group, and of the complete data set; and (3) Contributing to the development and testing of novel approaches to the harmonization and analysis of this complex data set. The Data Analyst in particular will require management, processing, and review of analyses performed on a large-scale with multiple study goals. The lab will benefit from close collaboration with talented programmers, analysts, and faculty, and offers opportunities for career development and academic advancement at PSOM. This position is contingent on continued funding. Qualifications
    A Bachelor's Degree in epidemiology, bioinformatics, statistics, medicine, biology or other related fields and minimum 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with management and analysis of large complex data set harmonization and integration required. Familiarity with R, SAS, Stata, or other data analysis or data handling software strongly preferred. W orking Conditions
