    Description

    Sutter Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist Lead for an ongoing position.

    The Mammography Technologist Lead will be responsible for supervising, organizing and coordinating the overall operation of Diagnostic Imaging at MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, Millbrae, California, USA, including staffing and work assignments for mammography technologists, diagnostic imaging aides, and student mammographers. They will be directing, implementing and updating policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen radiation protection/safety measures. The Mammography Technologist Lead will ensure the timely delivery of accurate imaging services and oversee the efficient maintenance and operation of all mammography equipment. They will be serving as the liaison between Diagnostic Imaging and staff, physicians, patients, family and other hospital staff. Routinely performing all duties of a mammography technologist, as needed. Adhering to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
    • Certified Radiologic Technologist upon hire
    • Radiology Mammography upon hire
    • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
    • 8 years recent relevant experience

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Expertise in mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
    • Proficient in performing mammography examinations based on human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong time management, organizational skills, and analytical ability
    • Familiarity with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)

    Work Schedule: Full-time, day shifts, Monday - Friday, occasional weekends

    Position Status: Regular, non-exempt
