- Offer guidance to clients by evaluating options and selecting the most favorable course of action for successful outcomes
- Identify client conflicts and develop case strategies with potential resolutions
- Lead administrative staff on client billing, meetings, invoicing, and project finalization
- Present arguments in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Draft various legal documents including motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Supervise paralegals, law clerks, and support staff
- Manage administrative tasks related to client billing, scheduling meetings, and other assignments
- Appear in court for clients and argue motions
- Must hold a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; 2+ years of client representation preferred
- Proficient in legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis products
- Essential skills include decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication
- Capable of independently managing multiple files and utilizing Microsoft Office
- Advanced proficiency in legal research software (Westlaw and Lexis)
- Completion of Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to handle substantial caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience in a law firm setting for 1-2 years
- Active Bar member with a clean disciplinary record
- Self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of excellence and dedication to criminal defense clientele
- Strong writing, verbal, and public speaking abilities
- Proficiency in an all-Mac environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
