- Assume the title of master juggler. You will be a detail oriented, schedule driven, multiple hat-wearing, punctuation enforcing marketing professional. You will have an eye for graphic design, a brain for strategic thinking, a passion for collaboration, and a hunger for learning new concepts.
- Have the ability to review and understand Requests for Proposals (RFP's), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ's) and organize and develop written responses.
- Write qualifications-based proposals describing technically complex concepts in a way that non-technical readers can understand. Each proposal is custom written, working from various InDesign templates. The response could be a single page or 50 pages. It could be a response in SF330 format or an architect's request for qualifications. Every situation is unique.
- Work hand in hand with the companywide marketing team, engineers, various departments, and subconsultants to find and track potential project leads, assess prospective clients' needs, and evaluate the competitive environment.
- Maintain up to date data in various locations including Coffman's CRM, marketing database, backlog database, and more.
- Support a variety of local and corporate marketing and BD initiatives. Your marketing responsibilities will grow as you grow at Coffman. You may support tasks ranging from press release writing to trade show coordination and more.
- Join and engage with appropriate architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry organizations, including Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
- Bachelor's degree (Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
- Job experience and/or an educational background with an emphasis in marketing, writing, or communications.
- Proficiency using MS Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint). Most of our market materials are assembled in Adobe InDesign, so a working knowledge of this software is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills. Clear written and interpersonal communication and strong listening skills are a must.
- The ability to take direction and work independently while prioritizing tasks associated with simultaneous deadlines.
- A single-page cover letter that briefly details your experience and describes what drives you personally.
- A resume that includes your professional experience, education, achievements, and organizational involvement.
- Any marketing or writing work samples you have. Proposals, press releases, technical papers, brochures – show us what you've done We understand that these materials are often confidential, but you are encouraged to be creative with what you show us for work samples.
