We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and Qualifications:
The Registered Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients via nutrition screenings, assessments, consultations and counseling sessions. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutritional management and care of patients according to physician diagnoses. Prepares appropriate documentation and follow-up for same. Responsibilities will include performance improvement and assisting in department, if needed. Reviews the interdisciplinary screening process and assigns a priority level of risk for patients.
- You will provide evidencebased nutrition counseling to patients on modified diets
- You will conduct nutritional screenings and assessments of patients
- You will collaborate with physicians to coordinate and implement nutritional recommendations
- You will identify and communicate potential nutritional implications of medications and document this information in patients' records
- You will assist the Food Service Department Dietary Aides with patient food selection and which foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet
What qualifications you will need:
- Licensed Dietitian must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Commission Dietetic Registration
- Bachelors Degree
