Administrative Assistant-Sales Support _to support our sales management team at our corporate headquarters in Wheeling, IL.

Position Overview:

This highly visible position provides administrative support for the sales efforts of the company.

As part of an experienced team of administrative associates, this position has the following responsibilities:


  • Management and coordination of all the administrative tasks necessary to support the gotomarket strategies and challenges of our Sales Department
  • Direct assignment to one or more Sales Managers; supporting their needs in servicing our customers
  • Attending and offering administrative support during intown Sales Shows
  • Preparing product price quotes for customers
  • Preparing sales reports as needed using system generated reporting and Excelbased formats
  • Prepare correspondence for Sales Managers, addressed to customers, manufacturer's representatives and sales brokers
  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests
  • Processing Product Sample Orders enter sample orders in system, perform quality checks and facilitate shipment/fulfillment
  • Coordinate travel plans of sales managers.
  • Coordinate Sales Shows, including manager schedules, travel and entertainment scheduling.
  • Prepare expense reports for assigned Sales Managers.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in an administrative support role. Prefer experience working within a sales department.
  • Bachelor's Degree or professional experience equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets; knowledge using intermediate to advanced Excel features.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Well organized, with strong multitasking skillsset.
  • Detail oriented with excellent followup skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • The ability to work independently is a must.
