_**As a Corporate Physical Security Specialist II your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the bank's physical assets, employees, and customers.

You will develop and implement security protocols, manage security systems and equipment, coordinate with law enforcement agencies, and train staff on security procedures.

Your role is crucial in preventing theft, fraud, and unauthorized access to the bank's premises.

The Physical Security Specialist II supports and assists the Corporate Security Manager by managing security functions including access control management, physical security vendors, security equipment reporting, troubleshooting at all corporate offices, loan offices and bank branches.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_**
Security System Management:
  • Assist with managing the installation of security projects, reporting and tracking of security maintenance, and knowledge of operation for physical security systems, background with Verint cameras and DVR systems, alarms, access control systems, knowledge of Aurora Keyscan systems required and other related equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the functionality and effectiveness of security systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and IS departments and vendors to address any technical issues and implement necessary upgrades.
  • Security Policy and Procedure Development:
  • Assist in the development, review, and update of security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and internal requirements.
  • Assist in establishing guidelines for access control, visitor management, alarm response, emergency procedures, and other securityrelated activities.

Physical Security Operations:


  • Monitor and analyze security risks and threats to the bank's premises and implement appropriate preventive measures.
  • Conduct periodic security assessments and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.
  • Coordinate with facilities management to address physical security infrastructure needs, such as lighting, fencing, and signage.
  • Collaborate with security vendors and contractors to ensure the delivery of highquality services.

Incident Response and Bank Robberies:


  • Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans for security breaches, thefts, and other emergencies.
  • Respond to branch bank robberies liaison with law enforcement.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and internal stakeholders during investigations of security incidents.
  • Maintain incident records, prepare incident reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies, security consultants, and regulatory bodies, to stay updated on security trends and requirements.

Branch Staff Training and Awareness:


  • Assist with conducting regular training sessions to educate bank branch employees on security protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness by promoting vigilance and reporting suspicious activities.
  • Organize emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of security plans and ensure staff readiness.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES_**None.

SKILLS AND TRAINING_**- Proven experience in physical security, preferably in the banking or financial sector.

  • Knowledge of security systems, access control technologies, and surveillance equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to physical security in banking.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies effectively.
  • Ability to promote a culture of security awareness and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in security management software, badging systems, incident reporting systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of any of: Critical Security Controls, FFIEC Examination Handbooks, NIST Cyber Security framework and Mitre ATT&CK framework.
  • Ability to train others.

_EDUCATION_

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related field experience (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree), and law enforcement experience preferred

_WORK EXPERIENCE_

  • 2 years experience preferred
