- Supervises and assists with the daily cash related work of team members, including analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines.
- Reviews cash team members' journal entries and month-end schedules.
- Serves as primary reviewer of daily, weekly, and monthly cash account and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with bank compliance activities in a timely manner.
- Supervises and mentors staff accountants in an effort to share knowledge and develop professional skills.
- Obtains and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all financial reports and general ledger structures.
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
- Collaborates with other internal and external counterparties to support the overall goals and strategies of the organization.
- Continuous process improvement and documentation
- Responds to inquiries from the Director of Accounting, Controller, Vice President of Accounting and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
- Supports the Director of Accounting with special projects and workflow process improvements as needed.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration in finance, accounting, or related field of study.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; preferably fuel experience.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP, CPA preferred.
- Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter with drive to get things done.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
