World Oil is hiring a Sales Account Manager in the Union City area

Pay for this role will start at $75,000 plus commission


The Account Manager manages existing customer business relationships to achieve budgeted sales goals by developing and implementing sound retention strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business.

They will save, secure and convert by handling all customer cancellations requests, providing ongoing education of contract details to existing customers, and by obtaining customer contract commitments during face-to-face interactions.

All escalations for customer service within the defined territory will be resolved through this position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards and reports weekly all pending, open and closed opportunities thru CRM tool.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
years of proven experience in providing customer support.

  • Outstanding communication skills, ability to articulate, communicate and interact with multiple constituencies in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of principles and facts related to business administration and accounting, human and material resource management in organizations, sales and marketing, economics, and office information and organizing systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skill in persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
  • Skill in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
