Helium Logistics - Planner I
Global Helium is seeking a Helium Logistics Planner to join our team located in The Woodlands.

Our helium business provides services to many domestic and international customers with Liquid and gaseous Helium in different sizes of containers.

The logistics planner is one of the key members of the Helium logistics team who ensures to maintain superior reliability of supply to our customers, by considering the most cost-effective options and adhering Linde's safety requirement.

**Responsibilities

  • Schedule the containers' movement and planning the shipments into /out of the product resources, transfill plants and customer sites by using scheduling and planning programs.
  • Coordinate the shipments with various Carriers, freight forwards, and drivers.
  • Attend to customer requirements to ensure enhanced quality services are provided
  • Monitor and coordinate imports and exports with our logistics partners
  • Working with Helium distribution centers, and coordinate the shipments based on the available inventory
  • Research, record and calculate accurate gas readings for billing purposes.
  • Consider cost implications of decisions and identify distribution cost savings opportunities.
  • Ensure all deliveries comply with Linde's Quality Assurance program as well as all applicable regulatory programs.
  • Record Quality Incident Reports when appropriate for system improvement.

Required:


  • 2 or more years' supply chain, logistics, customer service experience
  • Experience working with MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Must be detail oriented and work to achieve accuracy
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment

Preferred:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operation management
  • 5 or more years' experience working in a logistics/production planning/supply chain business environment
  • Export / Import knowledge and experience
  • Industrial Gas Knowledge
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Willing to work in modified shift schedule to cover operating hours from 0700 to 1730 CST.
  • Willing and able to participate and cover rotating call service with 24/7 coverage with the obligation to carry company issued cell phone.
