DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • This position involves analyzing and monitoring the allocation and distribution of funds to county Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) throughout Pennsylvania. The Department's budget of more than $600 million is comprised of federal dollars and state funds, which are generated through the Pennsylvania State Lottery Fund. Hundreds of millions of dollars are allocated annually to provide a wide array of services and programs intended to help older Pennsylvanians live and thrive in their homes and communities for as long as possible. These services include meals, caregiver support, health and wellness services, personal assistance, senior community centers, Medicare counseling, transportation, job training, elder abuse prevention and more.


You will assist in monitoring, analysis, report creation, documentation, and expenditure controls for the funds and grant agreements that make this essential work possible and sustainable.

Utilize your fiscal administration knowledge, collaborate with a variety of state and AAA fiscal and administrative staff, and find fulfillment in this opportunity

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 60minute lunch.

Telework:This position is headquartered in Harrisburg. With the administration and agency leadership's support, this position is eligible for a part time telework. Management may discontinue the telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location within Pennsylvania. You will be required to report to the headquarters office when needed. If you are unable to telework, you will report to the headquarters office. The location where you perform your telework must be located within a reasonable travel distance of the headquarters office and be within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Financial Programs Trainee;
    or:
  • One year of experience in paraprofessional fiscal administration work, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
