Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Volunteer Recruiter at our Agency. Your main responsibility will be to attract and retain volunteers by engaging with the Tarrant County community through various events and activities. To excel in this role, effective communication and excellent multitasking skills are key.

Paid As: Hourly, Non-Exempt Full-Time Employee

Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday

Reports To: Vice President Volunteer Services

Other Relationships: Works closely with various departments and stakeholders including Volunteer Services, Operations, Client Services, Meals On Wheels Board Members, Community Volunteers, and Clients

• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Support the mission and vision of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County
• Always maintain a professional representation of Meals On Wheels
• Must have reliable transportation and necessary insurance
• Pass mandatory background checks
• Provide assistance with meal delivery when needed
• Contribute to additional projects as required

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

• Engage in community outreach to recruit volunteers from various organizations and networks
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Volunteer Services to create effective recruitment strategies
• Establish connections for volunteer recruitment purposes
• Utilize innovative approaches for strategic volunteer recruitment
• Participate in events to recruit volunteers and organize staffing for recruitment events
• Engage community leaders to promote volunteer opportunities
• Maintain recruitment records and follow up with potential volunteers
• Assist in planning volunteer appreciation events
• Organize corporate volunteer events and agency tours
• Participate in community activities to raise awareness of the Agency's mission
• Create online content for volunteer recruitment and manage recruitment platforms
• Develop recruitment materials such as fliers and brochures
• Provide support in Scheduling and Routing Coordinator responsibilities
• Step in for meal delivery in case of volunteer shortages
• Additional duties assigned by Vice President of Volunteer Services

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years experience in recruiting, marketing, or talent acquisition
• Spanish fluency is a plus

Compensation details: 18-21 Hourly Wage
