Western United States - Sales Territory

POSITION OVERVIEW


The Outside Sales Representative role is responsible for achieving revenue and profit targets in their assigned territories, while also expanding and growing their sales portfolio.

The role is also responsible for seeking out and engaging customers, maintaining relationships with customer's key decision makers, assisting customers in identifying product or service-related solutions, creating new solutions, and ensuring a seamless sales experience.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops new and existing customers and markets to achieve revenue and profit performance targets, both meeting and exceeding territory quarterly and annual goals.
  • Understands and promotes company products and marketing programs.
  • Determines, updates, and maintains pricing schedules or contractual item pricing assignments with customers.
  • Proposes and develops product and servicerelated solutions that benefit both Fasnap and the customer.
  • Maintains and manages revenue forecast models for the assigned customer territory.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Participates in industryrelated trade shows or convention events.
  • Inquires and obtains customer forecast and usage information and provides the information to Fasnap support staff and executives to assist with the Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Resolves customer complaints by coordinating with Quality to document and investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management.
  • Monitor competition by gathering market information on products and services and escalating to management accordingly.
  • Participates in new product development by efficiently utilizing the advanced product quality planning (APQP) process, to ensure new products meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Maintain uptodate client records.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
  • Selling and/or Marketing Certificate (optional)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of customer facing, product selling, or marketingrelated work experience.
  • Previous ERP experience (i.e. Epicor Prophet 21, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.) (preferred).
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience (preferred).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate information.
  • Creativity in approaching complex challenges and problems.
  • Capability to elicit cooperation and quality information from a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Intermediate level ability in the Microsoft Office Suites
