    Description

    GVRA:

    The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities achieve independence and meaningful employment. Our goal is to tailor our services to meet your needs, providing professional and responsive assistance to both employers and job seekers.

    Summary/Objective:
    Under supervision, the role involves gathering and evaluating evidence to make decisions on claims or appeals related to government programs. Candidates must be available to start by July 1, 2024.

    Essential Functions:

    • Reviews and analyzes evidence to determine disability benefits eligibility
    • Prepares detailed written analyses and notifications
    • Maintains caseload, ensuring issue resolution
    • Protects sensitive information
    • Completes case reviews for compliance
    • Determines medical and vocational information
    • Arranges medical tests and evaluations
    • Prepares functional capacity assessments
    • Consults with professionals on complex cases
    • Interviews individuals and stakeholders for additional information

    Work Environment:

    The job is in a professional office setting using standard equipment.

    Physical Demands:

    Working Conditions:

    Office setting with a 40-hour workweek, high-volume workload, and deadlines.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

    Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional long hours and weekend work.

    Travel:

    Primarily local travel with some out-of-area trips.

    Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

    Mandatory background checks and employment authorization required.
