    Job DescriptionSalary: $50,000 + $5,000 Quarterly Bonus

    Duties of an Operations Manager Roastery include:

    • Negotiate with importers and farmers
    • Work with the marketing team to launch new products
    • Work with Cafe Operations team to launch new products
    • Work with the events team for offsite catering
    • Organize product menus
    • Responsible for accurate ordering and inventory management
    • Accurate order fulfillment
    • In charge of creating relationships with new potential clients
    • In charge of managing wholesale client relationships including coffee tastings and training
    • Oversees a team of 7-10 people, the daily operations and management of the roastery, and scheduling.
    • Enforces and supports implementation and ongoing execution of processes and procedures
    • Ensures the roastery is clean and tidy to company standards
    • Supports the team in all operational initiatives
    • Manages compliance with SNHD, HACCP, and FSMA policies
    • Enforces OSHA compliance
    • Executing disciplinary action forms and tracking performance as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Team
    • Ability to work a minimum of 40+ hours per week

    THE ROLE

    The Operations Manager is one of the most important roles in the roastery as their main focus is to be at the forefront and create the explosive growth of our company which is all around COFFEE. They manage the roasting team, production team, and warehouse team to ensure the quality of coffee that is produced. They work with other departments such as cafe operations, marketing team, and events team to ensure collaborative efforts to finish projects on time, They are laser-focused on growing the coffee program by creating new accounts, testing new coffees, training our employees, creating a strategy with marketing around the coffee program and working with our current wholesale accounts. In addition to this, the Operations Manager is expected to have their teams work efficiently, promptly, and to standard. This specific position requires an in-person consistent schedule, communication with clients, working with a 7-10 member dedicated team, and pursuing positive results through hyper-growth, new ideas, great relationships, and exceptional detail to a perfect cup.

    Required skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 2 years of coffee roasting experience.
    • Consistent schedule, Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
    • Self-directed, independent, and demonstrates excellent time-management skills.
    • Organized, methodical, and process-oriented, even amid a changing environment.
    • Proactive thinker who can identify issues and resolve them.
    • Professional communication skills.
    • Exhibits a sense of urgency when needed and can identify priorities.
    • Basic knowledge and use of Google Drive & Google Workspace.
    • Must have experience working with Cropster.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

    Benefits and Compensation

    • $45,000 during the first 90-day introductory period.
      $50,000 after the introductory period.
