Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking an
Inventory Planner to join our Speciality Crops and Oils team in
Salisbury, MD.

The essential purpose of the Inventory Planner position is to manage and optimize inventory levels to support operational efficiency and meet business objectives.

This involves coordinating the supply chain, analyzing inventory data for informed decision-making, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

The role is pivotal in balancing demand and supply, driving process improvements, and responding swiftly to market changes to uphold customer satisfaction and competitive advantage


Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with upstream and downstream assets to ensure the optimal volume and lane for the fulfillment of our customer needs, internal and external.
  • Enter purchase and sales contracts on behalf of the commercial team wash, cancel, and enter replacement contracts as needed.
  • Process customer orders in AgTech with proper accruals when necessary.
  • Coordinate with customers, transportation, and facilities regarding shipment details.
  • System Maintenance close or cancel load orders and contracts, as instructed.
  • Update the quality claim tracking spreadsheet and follow up on and close open claims once a resolution is reached.
  • Investigate and fix any disputed accounts receivable issues with commercial teams' help.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of different assets.

Minimum Education:

_ Required:_ High SChool Graduate or GED

_ Preferred:_ BS Degree (Agribusiness, Business, Sales & Marketing, or Supply Chain)


Experience Requirements:

years of supply chain and/or inventory management

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Understanding of transportation modes and methodologies

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

Normal climate-controlled office spaces. Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations. Able to use standard office equipment including telephones, computers, copiers, etc. Able to move freely about plant and customer facilities.

May be exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow, and extreme temperatures Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, %), and noise (50db to 100db).

Able to lift to 50 pounds. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
