    Job Description:
    The Senior Contract Administrator acts as the main contact with the government to manage contracts and resolve issues. This role requires a high level of expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership in contract administration.

    Position Demands (Education/Training):

    • Qualifications typically include a BA/BS in Business Administration plus 5 years of experience or equivalent.
    • Extensive knowledge of contract requirements including CDRL, FAR, DFARS, and CAS.

    Required Experience:

    • Expertise in accounting practices related to procurement.
    • Familiarity with the FAR and various contract types.
    • Strong computer skills, analytical abilities, and proficiency in negotiating contracts.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

    Working Relationships:
    • Reports to the Contracts Director.
    • May mentor Junior Contract Administrators.
    • Works closely with Program Managers, Planners, and Government Personnel.

    Principal Responsibilities:
    • Negotiate agreements and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
    • Maintain contract documentation and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
    • Advise Project Managers and assist in drafting contract changes.

    Accountability:
    • Responsible for meeting ship availability contractual obligations.
    • Directly impacts contract profitability.

    Unique/Additional Requirements:
    • Regular attendance is crucial.
    • May need to work at offsite locations and onboard ships.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.
    • Experience in a naval-ship-work-environment is a plus.
