DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned department, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity.

This position will work with Radiation Oncologists, RNs and team members to ensure that appropriate patient information is available for new and follow up clinic visits.

In addition, this position will review and reinforce information given to patients and families at consults, on treatment visits and follow up visits.

Under the supervision of the RN, this position will assist with clinic flow and ensure patient and staff safety through regulatory readiness.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Recent experience in a similar role and setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
  • Must possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Recent oncology experience.

Minimum of two (2) years of LVN experience required for consideration as a Senior LVN.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$64,519 - $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $38.41


Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
