Position Summary


The incumbent will liaison with internal team members and external clients to effectively and efficiently manage tasks and operations of audio/visual needs related to meetings, courses and rentals at the ASGE Institute for Training and Technology.

The Manager will operate, troubleshoot and maintain functions relating to the integrated A/V control system, presenters' presentations, live recording, webcasting, video conferencing, streaming, video production and the audience response system.

Possessing strong video editing abilities, using current technologies, is a plus. Must be able to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Work with ASGE staff and clients to manage A/V needs for events, including courses, meetings and rentals
  • Coordinate AV setup and operation for the full duration of the events which can require being onsite during evenings and weekends
  • Participate with Operations Staff, Conference Services, Lab Managers, and Education Team in managing AV activities such as setup, take down, and postproduction to ensure the events' success
  • Provide attentive, accommodating, professional, technical, and outofthebox support to our clients, which includes renowned physicians and medical experts, in a time sensitive, confidential, and fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, positive professional image, approachable personality, positive relationships, and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Ensure that all A/V resources are tested and operational prior to any event. Facilitate any required repairs/maintenance of AV systems
  • Identify, research and propose practical solutions for meeting new A/V needs as identified during client events
  • Understand new technology as a way to improve productivity, maintain compliance with the cost savings measures and provide a competitive advantage in a client focused manner
  • Advanced proficiency in using, troubleshooting and revising presentations that include audio, video, graphics and special effects
  • Highly effecient in video editing and production
  • Works calmly under pressure, with an exceptional serviceforward attitude.

Position Requirements

  • Experience with A/V systems support and client engagement preferably in a meeting services environment
  • Experience interacting with clients in a service role
  • Expert in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. Specifically, with resolving presentation issues and reformatting presentations
  • Experience with current Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with the operation and use of portable and fixed LCD projectors including troubleshooting and basic maintenance
  • Experience with the operation and use of Crestron management systems
  • Experience with the operation and use of a MediaSite video recording system, and systems associated with storing managing and deploying recordings to the associated web portal
  • Experience with video and audioconferencing operations
  • Experience in the use of wired and wireless microphones in auditorium environments as well as with video production.
  • Experience with the operation of A/V equipment such as Crestron, Extron, Vaddio cameras, Shure, Mediasite, Tesira, Revo Labs, and Crown equipment
  • Experience with the use of Audience Response systems
  • Experience with video conferencing technology and systems
  • Experience with and knowledge of AV equipment troubleshooting and repairs
  • Experience with network and information security
  • Experience with TCP/IP Networking
  • Experience with the connection of and troubleshooting of PC/Mac connections to LCD projectors directly, or through a Crestron system
  • Experience with wireless systems operation and management; familiarity with RUCKUS family of equipment preferred
  • Experience with the use and operation of current Microsoft Windows Server and operating systems.
  • Experience with Windows 10 operating systems
  • Experience with current Mac operating systems
  • Experience with supporting iOS and Android mobile devices
  • Experience with fiber optic, coaxial, and data cabling infrastructure
  • Experience with developing preventive and corrective maintenance plans, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Internet video transmission/broadcast
  • Knowledge of satellite broadcasting technology and solutions desired
  • Strong knowledge and experience in video production is a plus
